The Performance Hybrid Whip has a fast action and is ideal for cracking routines. It is a combination of a stockwhip and cow whip, constructed with a CPVC handle for ultimate flexibility. Just like a cow whip, the thong is laced into the handle and finished with a tapered twist. Unlike a cow whip, however, it is lighter and lacks a shot-loaded core.

This whip has been around for some time and may also be knows as a “Pipe Whip”, but the term “Performance Hybrid” was coined by whipmaker Paul Nolan. I use the same name because this is how most people know them today. I took the concept of the pipe whip and modified it to suit my liking.

I begin much like I do a stock whip, but with two double-laced keepers just as with my cow whips. From there I incorporate a 10-plait belly, 12 plait overlay, tapering twist, and herringbone plaited Cpvc handle. The whip is then finished with a 6×7 Turks head heel knot and waxed to add both weight and weather protection.

A quality whip should last you years, if not a lifetime. I accept refunds if the whip is still in new condition, or if the whip fails do to my craftsmanship. There is a 20% cancellation fee for custom orders.
