Whip Crackers

Spare crackers for you whip
Description
Spare whip crackers or “poppers” for use on my nylon whips, or any whip you may have.
Each cracker is made from polypropylene twine. The body is 6 inches and the tassels are 4 inches.
What is the difference between whip popper and cracker?
Nothing. These terms are often used interchangeably.
Are whip poppers necessary for the whip to crack?
No, but it does help. If you opt to forgo crackers, I suggest you tie a knot in the fall of your whip, leaving roughly 2-3 inches at the end to fray and act as its own popper. This will help the whip crack and disperse the sound. However, the addition of a cracker will extend the life of your whip significantly. The cracker is where the majority of force is exerted.
What is the best material for whip poppers?
Bonded nylon thread had been a time-tested favorite among whip crackers and whip enthusiasts. Kevlar has also gained popularity in recent years due to its durability. Polypropylene (I use baling twine) has also become a staple. You can use anything form braided fishing line, to the guts of paracord.
I find that nylon is slightly more durable than the poly, but the polypropylene knots and tangles much less.
